My Little Squires

During our time in Dallas we have had the opportunity to visit some local attractions we otherwise would not have a chance to visit. After our afternoon at the Fort Worth Stockyards we headed to some nice air conditioned supper at Medieval Times. The boys were super excited to watch some real Knights in action.

We got there about an hour before the show started and took in some of the pre-show festivities by getting some drinks, looking at the "wares" for sale and taking a look at the horses.

Our own Knights with their swords.

My Robin Hood.

He's been kinged...as in checkers.

The show about to begin...time to file into the arena and find our seats.

We were cheering for the yellow Knight and part of the Navarra region.

Just like at the Dixie Stampede we had to use our bare hands to eat our food. We were served soup, flat bread, chicken, BBQ rib, potato wedge and an apple turnover.

Excited about the entertainment.

The MC for the evening.

The King and his procession.

The welcoming of the Knights.

Our yellow Knight's delegation.

During the entirety of the show the Knights showed us their skills in various challenges. The last of these was the joust. Our Knight won his first round and lost his second round. The boys really got into this show a lot more then the Dixie Stampede, maybe because it was less artsy/educational and more physical contact and beat the bad guy...or they knew what it was going to be like from our experience at the Dixie Stampede...either way we all had a great time.
