Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas from our house to yours. Some pictures from the past couple of days, the boys were kind enough to sit still for a few minutes to take some pictures in front of the tree.

Christmas morning. J was up early and got some special time with Grandma while we waited for the sleepy heads to get up.

I think everyone had a great day, and had fun playing with all their new toys. We especially enjoyed having some extra family around to celebrate Christmas with.

Holiday House Tour

We have a had a great time getting the house prepared for Christmas and thought we would share some pictures for those that are too far away to visit. It also gave me an excuse to test out the new lens I got from J for Christmas ;)

Just Another Busy Saturday

So this guy was gone for work for a week and a half...he went to Canada...

He got home late afternoon on Friday, just in time to hit the work Christmas party. Saturday he got to cheer on M as he played flag football...it was a little chilly.

M got to pull some flags and made some good plays.

After flag football the older boys and the hubby loaded up and put some time in at the Scouts Christmas Tree lot.

N and I headed to a baby shower, I made another diaper cake. If you want to know how to make one I posted a step by step in this post.

Our good friends are adding another lil' boy to their family. Everyone is so excited to meet him!

Afterwards I headed over to the tree lot with N, and dropped him off to grab some much needed groceries (luckily the tree lot is right next to the commissary).

The boys had a blast running around and playing tag down the rows and rows of trees.

They may have even sold a tree or two during that 6 hour stretch they were there.

Some Thanksgiving Cooking

This year was the first year in a long time that my parents haven't come out to celebrate the boys' birthday's, but that didn't stop us from making and eating way too much food. We had two work parties the Friday before, that I cooked several dishes for...I may get around to posting recipes since they were both a hit. For the main event J took over for the big parts...pies, buns, and turkey. We joined some friends and ate way too much.
The boys got to play with some of the extra dough from the pies...and some flour as well. They even made mini pies with fillings of their choice.

J has recently joined the ranks of all those frying enthusiasts with a purchase of a turkey fryer. He has been testing it out on Sundays with chicken wings and fries, but got to try his first turkey.
