So on Saturday we decided to do some adventuring in the area we are currently calling "home" for a couple of weeks. We loaded up the boys and headed to the Fort Worth Stockyards to take in some cowboys, BBQ and a cow or two.
From where we parked we ended up walking across the "cat walk" over the old stalls/pens of the stockyards...it appears that they have not been in real use for some time now. Once to the other side we were great with some Texas Longhorns....including one that was saddled up and looking for some buckaroos to climb on up.
N was so excited to sit in the saddle!
We then headed over the small petting zoo, the boys enjoyed feeding the goats, an alpaca and a calf.
They stage a cattle drive down the streets twice a day, we hit up the 11:30 show.
Then it was time to say hi to the rodeo clown for a couple of balloon animals.
We ate at Billy Bob's on our way down to Corpus Christi for our Honeymoon a little over 10 years ago, we decided to have lunch there on Saturday. We toured the largest Honky Tonk and the boys thought the "disco saddles" were pretty cool.
