We had a fun night on Halloween, the whole day was fun and filled with activities, but the moment the costumes and face paint was put on the fun was elevated ten fold.
Let me introduce M as a Mummy, J as Dracula and N as Frankenstein's monster. We went with some traditional Halloween monsters this year and managed to find J and M's costumes at the TJ Max for super cheap. N's costume was a challenge, I couldn't find a prepackaged Frankenstein and ended up piecing together the elements and did a little crafting as well. All three involved some face paint which was fun to apply, but not as fun getting washed off afterwards.
The boys with their next door friends. M and their oldest boy went trick or treating on their own for the first time. They had a blast running through the neighborhood filling their pillowcases. I walked the younger two around with another friend and were back home after an hour and then finished handing out the candy that was left in our bucket.
