Eight...Can You Believe it?! Part 1

Be warned, this is a very long post...lots of pictures of my itty bitty little boy growing up (although he wasn't all that little!)...with lots of pictures of my oldest that have never before been seen.  See he was born way before this blog started, heck we didn't have a digital camera until after he was born even, things seem to change a lot in eight years! This will be a 2 poster, since his Birthday is really tomorrow I thought I had better get a head start on showing you all his 8 years of greatness and show all of you how much he has changed.

April 11th 2003
8 lbs 6 ozs 21.5 inches of greatness
Del Rio, Texas
(He is still proud that he was born in Texas, don't know why, but he loves to tell people that.)

About a month after he was born he was scaring the heck out of us....what medical mystery did we have on our hands? After ruling out some possibilities and over a week of feeling like I was starving my baby we finally traveled 3 hours to the big city (San Antonio). After getting him baptized he went into surgery to correct his pyloric stenosis.

He was a brave little babe, way braver then I would have been if it were happening to me!

He got sooo skinny over that time period, and we shed a lot of tears, but it was fixed and we haven't looked back since...well we just did, but he hasn't had any problems with it since (:

He was always a little ham with the camera.

He always loved his pal and big fur brother Diesel.

After being his big hospital stay we couldn't fill him up fast enough!

He must have had some turkey (:

It was a busy time for daddy too...ignore the hair...what a windy day.

The great Texan bagged a big one.

We had a lot of family adventures during his first year. We lived in Del Rio Texas(Laughlin AFB), spent a month in Grapevine Texas, spent a month in Biloxi Mississippi(Keesler AFB), and finally in Fairborn Ohio (Wright-Patterson AFB). The boy learned to love road trips at a very young age.

While in Biloxi MS we were greeted with a Mardi Gras Parade.

Checking out Elvis's place.

Finally a house to call home just in time to turn one!

We spent the summer exploring and going for stroller rides.

You were getting so big, you even grew out of the crib and became a big boy.

We picked out a great pumpkin for our little pumpkin in the fall.

You were truly a magical little boy.

Who became a big brother and loved it all.

You took so much pride in being a big brother and also loved to talk to daddy about flying.

And then you turned two!

And started doing big boy things....like riding bikes...

going to baseball games...

driving gators....

wearing big boy pants...

and playing with toads.

You hardly slowed down that year,

and then you turned three!

We had more adventures to do that year.

We moved to New Jersey...

we visited the count...

and visited the farm...

you really are a smart little boy...

always having fun...

always learning and will always be my little squire...

you are silly and great!

Then somewhere in it all was your first day of school...

and so excited to learn and meet new friends.

You are always incredible and forever my little hero...

ever so creative...

and ready to party...

you even stopped and smelled the flowers...

but can run like crazy...

and lo and behold to be a big brother once again...

Happy Birthday my first little boy...lets celebrate more tomorrow.
