Be Prepared For Life

Once again there had been a lack of posts...because once again life is busy. Between school work, soccer for all three (on three separate teams), scouts, the normal house upkeep, and not to mention this new part time job I've acquired we have been entirely maxed out. And really who am I kidding, the house has been somewhat of a disaster, sorry (but not really sorry, because this is life) to anyone that stops over and can bear witness to the mess that is our house.

So if you read carefully I had mentioned that scouts has contributed to my busy factor. With one in the pack and one in a troop, we have two meetings (Mondays and Tuesdays) to attend each week. The wonderful hubby has been taking on a more active role with the oldest, having camped with the troop several weekends (which the camp at least one weekend a month) and also attending a leaders training (IOLS), but I'm still responsible for getting them to meetings when he's busy or out of town for his job.

The pack camps once in the fall and is a family camp out, which I thought what a perfect time for the boys to have a weekend and for me to catch up on some housework...remember I have a disaster house with all the new things going on in my life. However, hubby got tasked with a job on Sunday, meaning he had to come home from camping on Saturday and so would the boys if I didn't go...so no weekend at home, but I still had a good weekend (although it would have been nice to actually get some sleep) with my boys and the other pack families.

Popping some popcorn and waiting on some Dutch oven dump cake.

Out hiking

With my Webelo.

Do you enjoy camping? And I mean real camping, ie in tents...
