So I have gone missing for a long month due to the beautiful weather we have been having here. We have had a couple wild storms come through, but until this week the weather has been beautiful and not too hot and humid. I have been taking advantage of the weather by getting vegetables planted in the garden box and also cleaning out the the flower beds and making them a little less maintenance (hopefully) with putting paper and edging down. You will have to forgive the phone pics, it what was handy at the moment ;)
Week two of the garden, added some strawberry plants and thinned out the kohlrabi.
Everything really taking off and stretching.
Time to start picking the leaf lettuce, also the peas have bloomed and also have pea pods on.
During the process of cleaning out one of the side yards.
This side has been taken over by an invasive grass that roots from all the runners and also any little piece of root that you don't dig out will also grow a plant.
Front garden, my tulips and daffodils all bloomed out and waiting to be trimmed back.
Everything needs to be cleaned out and trimmed back. With the help of the family and also a couple neighbors we got all the mulch raked out.
Bushes were overgrown and needed a good haircut.
Other side yard, have removed one of the clumps so that they are evenly spaced and saved me from purchasing plants for the other side.
Not quite finished with this project, but very close! I need to finish it before heading out next week for MN, where mom and dad have a yard to tame as well.
