Now that we live closer to home we are actually able to spend an occasional holiday back with our family in Minnesota. We started out after school and work, spent a night in a hotel halfway, met my parents in Owatonna and left Diesel with them and then headed up to Grey Eagle.
The boys were excited to spend some time with the "ponies" and even got to help train a brand new 2 year old that was getting her first "lesson".
J helping Grandpa
Getting some kisses.
N's turn.
M's turn.
N being the first person to "ride" her.
J putting her to the test. I may not have had the stomach to watch. I know Grandpa is a pro with training and understanding horses, but I also know I horse is a living, breathing thing that has a mind of its own.
On Thanksgiving they also were treated with snow, huge fluffy flakes that they could turn into snowballs.
We also got to spend some time catching up with our extended family
