Antlers Condo's of Vail Tour

So after a couple nights staying at Motel 6's, hubby spoiled us with making a reservation at a pet friendly Condo called Antlers at Vail. After a great evening swimming and eating some pizza we got a good nights rest in our condo so that we could explore the local area in the morning. I already highlighted that here. After our adventures we had to hustle back in order to make check out time, but I was able to take some pictures of our unit. I highly recommend the location and the quality of the room we stayed in, so if you are in the area check it out!

The view from our balcony. One large swimming pool that was 6' on the left and walked in on the right. There were also two hot tubs, so we didn't have to share with the other family that was there that night.

Zoomed out, the river was just beyond the fence. The sound of it and the smell of the trees once a pleasure to fall asleep to.

We had our own little patio and grill, an eat in area with fireplace, and a huge sectional (not pictured) in the living area.

We used the full kitchen during our stay, having a fridge makes traveling so much easier!

The boys room was really more of a hallway between our room and the bathroom, but they loved sleeping in the "bunkhouse".

It was a tight master bedroom, but boy the bed was comfortable and the over sized window brought in the fresh air scented by the pines and we could hear the echo of the river from below...much more calming then hearing our neighbors partying at the motel 6.

These gave it two thumbs up as well ;)

Pit Stop #2-Vail CO

So the next highlight of our travels was staying in Vail CO. We stayed at Antlers at Vail, a Condominium where each unit is owned privately and rented out through their Home Owners Association when not in use. It is pet friendly and on the off season it was very reasonably priced for the location. I will highlight the actual condo we stayed in, but in another post.

Vail has some breathtaking views.

Like Tahoe, the hotels/condos have made their own little town for visitors to stroll around in.

J picked up a real estate flier that boasted how they could find you a reasonably priced $5 million home.

In the morning we got up, found breakfast, and made our way up to the summit in the gondola.

The summit has several summer adventure programs for kids and adults to participate in. We were on a tight schedule so the boys did some trampoline bungeeing first.

M did several back flips right off the bat.

J was much more reserved.

N soared through the air, going the highest out of all of them...with a giant smile on his face of course!

Then we divided up and I took M to do some rock climbing, one of his favorite things to do.

He successfully completed 4 out of 5 of the stations in no time flat. The most difficult station he got 3/4 of the way up, second try he got 1/2 of the way up and had enough...10,000 feet above sea level may have had some impact on that ;)

J and N went on pony rides during that time. N's little pony's name had us rolling....Boss Hog.

Then it was time to head back down in time to check out of the condo.

National Park Pass is FREE for Military!

Forgot to mention in my last post that we went to Arches National Park for FREE! Yup, my kind of fun. In fact if you are military you can get your very own National Park Pass for the year 100% free! Don't believe me? Click here. That is a savings of $80.,thank you! That one pass covers one car load of people into any National Park. We have bought a pass the past two years since we have taken many trips to Muir Woods and other National Parks in CA with friends and family. It also includes Guard and Reserve members and their families in on the deal, all you need is your military ID card!

So go to your local National Park, show them you ID card and start having fun!

Pit Stop-Arches National Park

So with not knowing what the future brings we thought it would be nice to do a little sight seeing along the way of our chosen route for our PCS. One of the places we stopped was Arches National Park near Moab, Utah.

 The boys were excited to get out and stretch their legs a bit and climb over some statues.



After the pit stop at the visitor center we loaded up and went out exploring to the actual arches.

I have to add this one of the boys...I have a dozen photos from that day where no matter what I did at least one of the boys was unhappy or complaining in it...they aren't always cute and orderly when I want to snap a few photos.

My strong handsome hubby ;)

N and I stopped and watched this prairie dog eat and stare back at us, seriously I could reach out and pet him if I wanted to.

We didn't stay too long, we had Diesel with us and he wasn't allowed on any of the walking trails. It was also in the high 90's-100's when we went through here, not the best time to be going for a hike in a dessert.

On The Road Again

Our whirlwind vacation to see family came to an end today and we are on the road heading back to Scott AFB. If you see us wave ;)

CA Second Floor Tour

Welcome to the final installment to our CA house tour. We are finshing up with the the second story, which has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and lots of closets...unfortunatly we have to walk up ALL these steps.

Seperate bath and toilet...second bath is identical.

In the hallway is a linen closet.

Also a large walk in closet,

with built in shelving.

This was the two older boysroom.

N's room, which doubled as a guest room.

And finally the room we used as a craft room and office.

Hope this tour has helped those that never visited a chance to visualize where we lived, help us to remember one of our many houses, and possibly help those moving to Travis AFB.
